Buen Provecho Olive Oil

Brief
To create a brand identity for Buen Provecho, a company that imports olive oil from Southern Spain, and packaging for Serrano de Espadan, their main olive oil product. A tight budget restricted the palette to two colours.

Approach
I researched the history and geography of where Buen Provecho’s olives are grown and felt that they could differentiate themselves by drawing on their heritage and the fact their olive groves were planted by the Moors.

Working closely with the owner, I painted a geometric Islamic design that reflected the olives’ Moorish origins. I chose natural colours to help reflect the purity and handmade nature of the oil. The logo is based on a woodcut I made and references a tower that overlooks Buen Provecho’s olive groves.
