About me
I'm a creative marketing consultant with a graphic design background. I draw on my wide range of skills and experience, and apply my commercial acumen and creativity to add value to businesses. I’m passionate about the role that design plays in creating brands and influencing customer behaviour.

I've over 15 years’ experience in leading and delivering results-driven branding projects and integrated marketing campaigns for start-ups and large corporates. I’ve a proven track record of building and growing brands through engaging design, content and communications.

I believe in taking a customer-orientated approach: developing products and propositions that solve a defined customer need, and then communicating the solution through great creative work.

I was born in Scotland and grew up in California, an experience that's given me an international perspective on life. I returned to Scotland in 1992 and after completing my Foundation Studies at Newcastle College of Art, I earned a BA (Hons) Marketing with Film and Media from Stirling University.

I began my career with The Royal Bank of Scotland on their Graduate Management Programme. I next joined Create Services, a sophisticated online start-up credit card provider which was later acquired by Lloyds TSB. While performing various marketing roles at Lloyds TSB, I studied part-time for my MA Graphic Design at London College of Communication.

After earning my MA in 2006, I began working with SME and non-profit clients as a freelance graphic designer and brand consultant, developed brand strategies and created visual identities, brand architecture and guidelines. At Aviva, I managed its two pure-play digital brands, Quotemehappy.com and General Accident, shaped brand strategy and led the creative direction of all brand and marketing communications.
